I got bitten by a dog once. So when my wife nagged me to get a dog from the local animal shelter, I wasn’t exactly delighted, to say the truth. Do you think puppies are cute? Right you are! Surely there is no harm in letting your new little puppy sleep in your bed if he is crying in his own bed? He just misses his mummy! Do not take the bait. Unless of course, you do not mind sharing your bed with a fully grown dog either.
There are two points about puppy obedience training that are vital: Start immediately and be consistent. If it is the first time you own a dog and if you are not sure of how to run an effective obedience training, you can either have a look at some dog training courses or look for a qualified dog trainer. The latter option will certainly cost more money, and the truth is, if you respect the above mentioned key points, it is not overly difficult to train your dog yourself, especially following the guidelines of dog training courses.
Let us have a look at the two crucial points:
At the beginning, your puppy will not have bad habits, so keep it that way. The younger the dog, the easier it is to teach him. Take a decision right from start which behaviour is tolerable for you and which is not.
